The Katy Chamber Chorus
Presents:

The Lord of the Rings - A Choral Symphony
Alice Valantine Beckstrom - Director of Katy Chamber Chorus

New recordings of the beautiful songs from The Lord of the Rings films (including translations of the Elvish lyrics!)

The Lord of the Rings – A Choral Symphony, opens with Tolkien’s warning of approaching evil of Sauron and the Ring, and continues with the Hobbits of the Shire, Frodo’s journey to destroy the Ring, while meeting: elves of Rivendell & Lothlorien, dwarves & orcs in the mines of Moria, the free peoples of Rohan & Gondor, Frodo’s unlikely companionship with Gollum/Smeagol, the destruction of the Ring and concludes with his final journey, into the West.

"Since about the age of twelve, I have read and reread J.R.R. Tolkien’s books, The Lord of the Rings. With each reading I would find new things to enjoy and treasure. Just as Bilbo said, 'It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door, you stay on the Road, and if you don't keep your feet, there is no knowing where you might be swept off to.' I was almost positive that the world of orcs, elves and hobbits was out there, out my door and just down the Road" - Alice V. Beckstrom
